Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots pitches itself as a relaxed tap-and-watch casual game, and it mostly delivers on that. You spin a set of reels to match icons, and matches unlock new themed boards, each with its own art style and background music. The loop is easy to understand within the first minute, which is exactly what this kind of game should be.
What surprised me was how much it leans on collection. Every completed board adds characters and decorations to a little gallery, and chasing that gallery kept me opening the app longer than I expected. The controls are a single tap, so it works perfectly one-handed on the bus. There's no fuss, no complicated menus, just a clean screen and a satisfying animation when things line up.
It won't challenge anyone looking for depth, and the pacing can feel slow once you've seen most of the boards. But as a low-pressure thing to dip into between heavier games, it does its job. The art is genuinely charming and the sound design is better than it needs to be.
What we liked
- One-tap controls that work one-handed
- Lots of themed boards to collect
- Relaxing, no-pressure pacing
